Instagram Love

By July 25, 2012January 27th, 2023Design, Helpful Hints

For the last year or so I’ve been using ( insert addicted) to Instagram – a photography app for my iPhone.

Why do I love Instagram?

I love seeing the results of ordinary looking images when enhanced by the filters in the Instagram App.

It pushes me to look for beauty and unique shots – a creative exercise!

It’s easy, fast and social.I can take a shot and post it to the Instagram feed (and twitter,  facebook, flickr, etc.) and  in 15 – 30 seconds.

New friends – I enjoy seeing what others are posting and appreciate their creativity!

A photo historyIt allows me to document my life and my family in photos.

The photos below are examples of some Instagram photos I’ve taken.

Recently I purchased Alli Worthington’s ebook – iPhone Photography – The Visual Guide .

“A picture guide book of all the best iPhone photo editing apps. Step-by-step tutorials to create stunning images, advice for both bloggers and brands on the Internet’s current shift to visual content, plus how to use iPhone photos to stay organized, save money and just be happier.”

I can’t wait to dive into this book for even better photos!

The INFOGRAPHIC below clearly illustrates I’m not the only one addicted to the photo app. It really is enjoyable to view other users photos and see what others choose to share.

WOW!! I wasn’t prepared for 173 pages full of gorgeous iPhone images, tips, app recommendations, and personal photography advice. I read the entire thing on our car ride up to the cabins. I immediately installed several new apps (mostly free) that I’m learning to love. Some of my favorite apps so far include Camera , Pixlromatic, and Camera Awesome.
