Dismas House, Nashville

Our business model is perfect for any one needing to out source their design work. We will work for companies as they need us and relieve them of what can be a HR headache of hiring a designer full time. Often we’re hired by marketing companies when their project load over flows their in-house designers. We love the opportunity to work on many local projects this way in a collaborative way where everyone wins.
For this project we were contacted by longtime friend and fellow NAWBO member, Jacqui Hayes of Crayons & Marketers.
Her full service marketing agency had been hired to work with Dismas House, Nashville to promote their new major expansion. She brought us along to do the creative design work for print. This annual report is just of one of the projects we’ve done for them as we work toward their grand opening in the spring of 2020.
PROJECT SCOPE:
We started this project by carefully crafting a brand template. This included typography, design elements, a color palette for print and digital as well as their logo. We reworked the logo file to create additional options – creating the dove as a separate element with a transparent background. This gave us a complete set of vector elements in color and white to use consistently.
The report needed several infographics which we designed in Illustrator following the brand guide we set up. Creating these as individual files has allowed us to quickly place them in additional documents we’ve designed since then. The final piece was an 8 page booklet, highlighting the new construction and the Dismas mission of building the community by offering transitional housing to those recently released from incarceration. The final piece was delivered as a print and digital pdf so they could be available for multiple marketing opportunities.
