St. Louis Society of the Blind
CLIENT:
This non-profit organization contacted us to design a full color print legacy brochure for their upcoming virtual gala as part of their largest fund raiser of the year. As an non-profit with over 100 year history, the aim was to grow their audience with this new marketing piece.
The St. Louis Society of the Blind, began as the Missouri Association for the Blind in 1911 has grown from a small organization to one which now serves more than 1,500 individuals annually. Today’s mission is to enhance independence, empower individuals, and enrich the lives of people who are visually impaired or blind. The programs and services offered by the Society include low vision medical exams and low vision therapy, assistive technology, daily living training, orientation and mobility, and counseling for adults as well as educational services for children.
PROJECT SCOPE:
The legacy brochure was a unique piece, creating a stepped look to the right hand size. It included a perforated, self-mailer in the back. Each section included a quote from a client and a purchased photo from Adobe Stock imagery.
The existing logo was pixelated, so we recreated it as vector art and made sure the logo was consistent with the brand message on the new brochure.
The 16 page brochure measured 8.25 x 5.75 closed. The complex designed and stepped sheets made hand assembly necessary. Our local printer, Alphagraphics | Music City, printed the project for us in record time to meet the deadline. We couldn’t have accomplished it without their careful work.
