Every Days an Adventure Series

Author Sharee Katina and illustrated by Tammy Primm

AUTHOR’S VISION:

Twenty years ago Sharee Katrina was a young mom with five little boys at home. As a busy mom, she wrote the manuscript for these children’s books within a short time and then shoved them in a drawer. Now with the benefit of self-publishing distribution, she has finally been able to publish them.

Sharee hired her friend Tammy Primm to capture the stories on canvas. Tammy created the illustrations with acrylics in a square format. We then scanned the finished paintings with our desktop scanner. (Read Tips on Creating Illustrations for Book Publishing)

OUR PROCESS:

We worked with the author to create a storyboard of her children’s books and the illustration ideas she had for each page. We designed each cover using one painting for each book. We made sure the books had a consistent, overall format, with font, structure, and colors. We created a series imprint logo and made sure it was prominent on the cover and inside the book as well.

Once the books were ready, we uploaded each book file to both KDP and IngramSpark. The books are available in paperback and eBook formats.

This project involved:

Custom cover layout for all formats (ebook, paperback and hardcover)
Interior Formatting including scanning of each illustration
Self-publishing planning and management of metadata and file uploads
Distribution through KDP and IngramSpark with worldwide listings
Development of book mockups for marketing
Guidance and tools for a successful book launch with reviews
Sales Sheet for marketing to independent bookstores, libraries, and other opportunities

These books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and most online bookstores across the world.
