Design and Print Management of Award Program

CLIENT:

In the fall of 2020 we were hired to design and print a special nonprofit award program for the Nashville Public Library Foundation. Their annual gala had to take on a different approach because of the global pandemic and yet they didn’t want to lose the elegance of their largest annual fundraiser. The board decided to capture stories of how the library was used during the year of quarantine. The response was amazing as so many told how books and other library assets brought hope, joy and encouragement to the community.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Through the superior creative management skills of Perri duGard Owens, the gala was transformed to a Stay-At-Home Virtual Event which highlighted the library patrons in a seamless display of beautifully captured videos. The NonProfit Award Program Design captured these same stories in print and photography and made a beautiful souvenir of the day.

It was a pleasure to work alongside such a great team of creative people. Esé Morrison, 353 Media Group; Chris and Paige Clancy, Clancy Partners; and Toby Taylor, Glori Media. We started the project by developing the interior layout, carefully working out the exact number of words Chris Clancy could use for each story.

Toby made the project easy by supplying the branding they had done ahead of time. His vector artwork was just what we needed to continue the design on this piece. The hardest part of this design was choosing the photographs to use on each page. Esé provided so many good options it was difficult to choose. But we narrowed it down and the combined effort made a beautiful end product.
