Learn how to use your software!
I’ve been a Lynda.com subscriber since 2007. Whenever I’m struggling with any issues in the software I’m using, I just go to their site. Lynda.com offers all types of software education, not just design. I love using their search function to find the answer to the problem – usually I have more than one video to watch and I can easily scroll through the tutorial to find just what I’m looking for!

National Association of Photoshop Professionals is another site for education, training and it includes a printed magazine with a ton of great information. I’ve attended several of their conferences and consider them the best on all things Photoshop/cameras/and graphic design.
Need some stock photos?
I use iStockphoto almost exclusively for any stock photos I need in my design work. The quality is very good and I especially like the search options they offer.
Website Templates for a cost effective web presence
If I choose not to build my own theme, I use Themeforest as my resource. The theme I used for this website is Salient.
Do you want to self-publish?
If you’ve ever wanted to self publish – I would recommend Createspace as a very good platform. The site is easy to use and offers step by step instructions for uploading your manuscript.
Need something printed fast and inexpensive?
Overnight Prints is one of my favorite online printers. I use them constantly and have had great quality and service 95% of the time. They are fast and their price is right!
