When the San Andreas fault fractures, unholy lava creatures spill forth with only one mission: to feed. Earning the name “Demons,” the beasts put mankind into a state of constant siege. With failing defenses against the Demons, the American government throws its remaining resources into one last weapon, a cybernetic superhuman soldier.

BOOK SCOPE

Jose contacted us to help him to design and self-publish his first book, a science fiction novel. When he contacted us he had his finished manuscript and had commissioned the illustrated cover. Since the book hadn’t yet been edited we recommended one of our favorite editors, Jessica Hatch of Hatch Editorial Services to do her magic on the manuscript.

We used the amazing artwork to inspire the typography for the cover and extended the colors to the fill the jacket. The artwork looked amazing in gray scale as well and we used it in the front matter of the book for an accent.

Once the editing was finished we formatted the interior carefully highlighting the conversations of the “glasses database” to give it an additional sci-fi feel. We created the hard cover edition and then prepared an ebook for distribution with Amazon Kindle.

Mr. DeGracia chose to publish his book with KDP and used BookFunnel to distribute advanced reader copies.
