A Photographic Essay of the American West by Vince Warren
CLIENT STORY:
PRESERVING HISTORY WITH THE LENS
Photographer Vince Warren would rather be trekking and traveling the American West than most anywhere else, and he’s been doing just that since he was ten years old. Endless
hours behind the camera provide a unique glimpse into places many have never been, most of which are wild and undisturbed. Travel along with Vince to Oregon, Washington,
Utah, California, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho through breathtaking images of giant forests, deserts, waterfalls, raging oceans, and history seen in old homesteads,
ghost towns, mines, and more.
What does it take to capture photos like the ones in Majesty, Power, and Resilience? The willingness to get soaked by giant waves, snowshoe around frozen lakes, slog through a storm in the Painted Hills of Oregon, trek through the darkness for hours, and hike from the rim of the Grand Canyon in a foot of snow.
The reward? The privilege of capturing the perfect sunrise, gazing up at a sky full of sparkling stars in the Milky Way, watching an eagle fly 50 feet over your head, witnessing the sun break through the clouds to reveal a double rainbow above the hills against a black sky, and wandering through rock formations that make you think you’ve landed on another planet.
